I don’t think the scheme is 100 percent to blame I think if we had a QB who could read a defense, understand when he is about to get blitzed an what to do with the ball if they are blitzing, and wasn’t scared to throw it that the offense would look a lot different. I think they will recruit an find a QB who can run the offense but currently they just need to do simple stuff because we have a 1 read QB so run the short passing game plays and don’t get cute

I’m so tired of this. Daniels and Denbrock were both Kelly decisions. If it’s a bad combination, it’s one our staff consciously decided on.

Based on what you just said, it's scheme. We don't have a QB who can do the things you mentioned. Therefore, the scheme has to be adjusted to fit who we have. Can't just keep hammering a square peg into a round hole.

I'm not gonna act like I know how to scheme around our weaknesses, nor do I need to know. A good OC, however, should be able to cover up the weaknesses we have at QB and o-line better than Denbrock has.

I'm not one of those guys calling for coaches to be fired. Denbrock has had success with the right players in place. Maybe Kelly is willing to be patient until we have that and is willing to take some lumps to get the system fully implemented for when the players are in place.

I like Kelly to rebuild this program and trust him to do so, but it is frustrating right now.
