We are 6 games into the season with only 620 yards rushing from running backs. We don’t have any running back averaging more than 6 carries or 33 yards per game.

Williams has the most carries (35), but the lowest ypc (3.5) and the least breakaway potential (his 15 yard longest play pales in comparison to Cain’s 49, Goodwin’s 47, Emery’s 39-yard pass).

I know our line sucks…but this is the third year in a row with deplorable rushing. All of our best years included 2,500+ yards rushing, even the seemingly pass-happy 2019 squad.

I know we are all up in arms that Jaydon is terrified to throw downfield and thus one-dimensional, but I’m just as concerned that within that one dimension (rushing) we can’t seem to do that either.

We are a zero-dimensional team.

Agree....we need some stud horses to tote the ball. Without that threat, opposing defenses can play pretty conservative. All the current RBs have been disappointing. I understand Fournette is once in a generation, but we have no Hill, Broussette, Scott or anyone of that like.

Team focuses on shuttin down the run which includes the running qb knowing he wont send it over the top with success.

They could have a better running game if they designed runs with Daniels, rather than let him run ad-libbed.

It’s definitely a concern, but saying this is the third year in a row, explains a lot. This team has a ton of holes to fill. It’s not going to be a quick fix. People jumping to conclusions half way through year 1, are not facing reality. If we are talking about this, year 3, then I agree, it’s huge red flag.

The rest of our opponents will mirror what Tenn did on defense. And it is not so hard when your QB can't hit open receivers...

This is an excellent way of putting it.

The running game has been neglected for five years, 2019 was an outlier due to the greatest passing game in CFB history that made it easy to move the ball any way we wanted, including the ground game.

When we snap the ball this season there is never anything that appears to come naturally or easy.

It really is incumbent on the coaching staff to scheme plays that compensate for our weakness on the line and limitations at QB.

Having Daniels stand still waiting for someone to break open while the pocket collapses around him is lunacy and yet it seems to be the plan nearly every play.

Why we don’t work in rollouts or misdirection is really confusing to me.

This Florida game is extremely important in trying to get bowl eligible, it’s likely our most winnable SEC game left with Arkansas, so we need to see EVERYTHING this coaching staff can muster this week.

You can't run if you can't stretch the field. Daniels cannot stretch the field so teams stack the box.
