Looks like play design is to hit 8 on the Dig. And there is a perfect lane to throw to 8 too. No lineman in 5’s way. Doesn’t get easier than that pass. Makes this even more of a head scratcher.
As for route tree, I’d prefer to see 7 running a go route on that top hash or a corner over 10’s out. You hit 8 and then field is wide open for big play YAC. I don’t like to see so many WRs at same depth.
Im sure this is being coached up this week. Up to 5 to make the improvement.

Agree.
I'm thinking at least one WR is running wrong route and should be decoy.
