To show that active duty military members are not compensated like any other job. They are severely underpaid. Especially in the first 4-6 years.

lol ok. you have a free room, free food, issued uniforms, free healthcare, and 30 paid days of leave a year, all with virtually no barriers to entry assuming you have finished high school and meet the physical requirements. essentially ZERO cost of living - phone, internet, maybe a vehicle is all you really even need to spend your own money on.

how much do YOU think a first term enlistee should get paid?

Now do a person paid 10 dollars an hour that doesn't get free room and board and healthcare that is also paying taxes to those people
