Boutte has been checked out for over a year now. I think Kelly gave him permission to miss tomorrow to avoid having his poison on the field. I think he gave him #7 to motivate him but that was a mistake but worth a try. He’s so talented but so immature but most of us were at that age. Hope he matures and figures it out but don’t look for him to be much of a factor for LSU if at all. I hope I’m dead wrong.

He definitely has the wrong attitude at times but in this case you are dead wrong. You don’t miss the birth of your child for anything especially not New Mexico

That’s not what that number was meant for. That tradition needs to die.

Or maybe what was explained is TRUE. Not everything is a conspiracy or has a hidden meaning.

Kayshon had 39 catches for 509 yards and 9 touchdowns in 6 games last year, then got injured and required 2 surgeries before he could return to the field after an 8 month absence.

No, Kelly gave him the game off because he just had his first child...? Why is this very, very simple fact being overanalyzed.

He was given #7 because he's the best player on the team. That's who gets #7.

People keep saying this without citing a single example of him being "immature."

Malik Nabors had a big game against Mississippi State because Kayshon was effectively doubled with a corner and safety over the top the entire game. JD's running tocuhdwon was availible because half the defense went with Kayshon on the play. Defenses can't bring Sefety's down often because you have to account for #7 on the deep shot, that was a contributing factor in Goodwin's TD run.

Just because Kayshon doesn't go for 10/130/2 scores every game doesn't mean he's not a factor. He's the most game planned against player on the entire team.

Imagine if your manager would have said, "Sorry Koplan, you are the best fry cook we have, we can't afford for you to not be working on this Tuesday night. You will have to leave your girlfriend and baby at the hospital alone."

So missing the game for the birth of his child contributes to him being “checked out”? What a frickin moron.

He's our 2nd leading receiver right now in catches and 3rd in yards.

What a pathetically horrible take. Sone of our fans need to get damn grip. Life is so much bigger than football. The birth of your child is an important event. Spending time with your girlfriend/wife post-birth is just as important as the event itself. CBK gave him the game off, which is a very respectful thing to do.

Or, it could be due to the fact that his girlfriend is about to give to birth to their first child??

Are you judging KB being checked out based on his numbers this year??? Not his fault that Daniels cannot get the ball to him. Go watch the film from this year and you will see that he is still running good routes and getting open and when he does the ball does not come his way.

I will give KB credit for getting his GF pregnant and scheduling delivery on a cupcake weekend so he can be off this week...

Maybe he’s checked out on the field maybe he’s doing his best, but the fact that he wants to miss a game to be there for his child shows that he’s mature and understands something’s are more important than football

That fact that you think he should be on the field rather than with his newborn shows you’re the one that has some growing up to do

I agree. He seems really distracted. But there seems to be a good reason for it. He has a kid on the way (if not here already) and he feels the pressure to start making money.

The good news he plays at one of the deepest positions on the field and it's not affecting the team negatively.

But I hope he comes back next week as expected and balls out against Auburn for LSU and his sake. He needs to start accumulating some highlight film and stats for the NFL draft so he can support his family at a high level.
