It's not the topics that are the problem but why not bring something to the discussion? If this place is just people sharing one news story after another it's boring and lacks anything unique or authentic.

If I click on a link about Harold Perkins receiving any award, it would be great to see a comment, thought, insight or anything kind of personal contribution by the OP.

I can (and so can others) get news from anywhere...tv, radio, social media, etc. but what makes this place different is discussion and engagement and posts are better when they are made with that in mind....not just to try to stimulate thought and discussion from others but when the OP can actually bring some themselves.
