Sometimes, knowing a character will die causes a fan/viewer/reader to disconnect from that character some.

Don’t think that affected anyone that enjoyed this show.

One of the things I hate the most about the sequel movies- I hate that Han and Luke died, and how.

I have no idea what you are talking about. Last time we saw Luke he was training Grogu. Last time we saw General Han Solo he was being awarded some medal for helping defeat the empire.

No, it didn't detract from my enjoyment of this show episode to episode, but it's a pet peeve of mine. These are fantasy characters, not real people... sometimes there's one we want to continue to enjoy their adventures. Batman, James Bond, Conan, Luke Skywalker etc- I neither need, nor want, to see them get old and die. They are 'immortal', continuously getting into and out of sticky situations. Some have before I was born, all should continue to do so when my kids are old.
Especially characters that aren't set in OUR world (Luke, Flash Gordon, Conan and so forth). There's no NEED to do that, when there's so many further tales yet to be told.

That's why I hate flipping timelines around in Star Wars.
