I just finished ep 3. Not sure what people are complaining about, unless they wanted some silly and childish Star Wars take (which is what people WERE complaining about).
This show is definitely for adults. I'm getting a big IRA vibe, it's like they scooped Andor out of Northern Ireland. Honestly, it fits the Rebellion motif.

They could have combined 1-3 together and released this in 4 1.5 hr episodes (a la Sherlock).
The payoff in Episode 3 is worth the slow build in 1 & 2.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series so far, especially Ep.3.
Looks like the world of Star Wars, but feels like a dirty political thriller like Syriana or something. Very serious (& fresh) for a SW series. I like your comp to the vibe of the IRA resistance.
And the CGI/VFX is almost Rogue One quality. My OLED tv exposes poor graphics, and outside of one shot of a crane with computer-generated construction workers riding a steel beam, the graphics have been indistinguishable from practical props & locations, even tho your brain knows the other-worldly-ness has to be CGI.
