You conspicuously forgot the one he put on the ground by not making the read in time and handed to State in scoring position. Read option should be bread and butter for him along with short throws out of the backfield, but he’s not consistently good at any of them yet. Until he develops consistency with SOMETHING, it’s going to be hard to call plays to his supposed strengths.

All this said, I do credit Denbrock for going back to the zone read later in the game rather than completely abandoning it.

Maybe conspicuous to you but the point is we’re way above average in one area and bottom 3 in the other even with a large bump from Southern. Vs FSU and State we’re averaging 5.7 yards per pass attempt which is abysmal.
