Guy had horrible coaching at ASU, downright terrible (Herm just got fired)

OL was horrible and he had no receivers for 2 years. That problem lent itself to some bad habits like taking off too soon and if you've been doing something for multiple years, it's hard to break that habit.

Guy had to spend a lot of time just fixing mechanical problems when he got here and trying to win a competition.

Fixing those problems took a lot of time then the competition took way too long stretching up to almost the last week which shortened the time with QB/receiver chemistry.

If you watch it, another part of his problem is his timing is off with the receivers. A lot of times instead of throwing it right when they break, he hesitates until the are cleanly open. He's not anticipating guys open and that comes with time and repetitions he lost by only being here since the spring. Again, he wasn't just working as "the guy", since the summer like the vast majority of QBs, he's been in competition and had to fix mechanical issues.

Daniels yards per attempt a very low (tied for 84th), but this is the same guy that finished 13th, 25th, and 51st in the country his prior 3 years with inferior talent and playcalling. He was known for his deep ball accuracy. I think them trying to perfect his short passing game has hindered his deep ball. I don't see that lasting though. By Tennessee, this pass offense will start to come open.

Again yall, give it time. Burrows first good passing performance at LSU didn't come til his 5th game. This was his first 4
