While i like everyone setting up funds, it should be consolidated to 1 to make more of a statement , unless the bank will work with crime stoppers to do that. Not sure of the process or if thats the plan.

Really like the idea of boycotting LSU football games, need to force LSU’s hand to make more of a statement. Not sure how that could be done or organized though.

Would be huge if there was a boycott at the Tennessee game but doubt thatd happen bec people value entertainment more.

meh it's still about the same today. I think 7-8 of 100+ murders in BR have been white people. IDK how many were killed by other whites

This is a pretty racist statement that only whites can be innocent victims. Black, Hispanic, Asians, etc can be innocent people too

I see it now. Since other related threads were being anchored and/or deleted, I figured everything related would be in this thread so I didn't even think to look.

It's not racist at all. Part of the problem today is people can't call out specific problems due to political correctness.

Based on FBI statistics, the VAST majority of black-on-black crime is gang or drug related.

Are there some innocent blacks in those numbers? Of course.

But this is a general discussion about crime. There is no way to dial down to every single murder and try to ascertain the details. Especially when they are happening daily.

Having statistical discussions that are generally accurate is not racist in any way.

I didn’t make a statistical statement, I generalized that thugs (any race) previously used to target other thugs (any race) but now the thugs (any race) are targeting innocent people (any race). I was talking about the difference in the 90’s crime wave vs today’s crime wave.

That being said, I agree with your point if we were having a statistical conversation

So what was your specific problem with the post that you quoted/responded to, and called racist?

Can someone post a link later to the united colors of bennetton fabric building workshop presser that our fine mayor will be conducting at 12:30 today? I would rather not give any traffic to Wbrz directly if I don't have to. Tia.

So, you want to explore alternate routes of getting to the presser?

Yes, but if the link says 99 Oaks then I'm out.

LINK

I wonder if this murderer (since the age of 14) who was just released on bond, had anything to do with Allie. Got a serial killer who basically been released from jail out on the streets for about a week.

Possibly.

I think it would be too much to hope, though. Him and his partner who flew through the windshield were found with weapons and masks in the car.

Go read it for yourself and make your own determination. I don’t care to have this debate with you. This thread is for Allison, so let’s keep the focus there

It would explain ATF and DEA being announced as part of the presser.

Just reading about this horrible crime this morning. I'm a State fan who came to BR for the first time since the 1985 baseball series.

We stayed in an airbnb on the 2900 block of Alaska, about half a mile north of campus. Only 2.5 miles from the shooting. House was just ok, not a horrible area, but an easy walk to/from the game.

Friday night GPS first took us to the Dalrymple exit, only a mile and a half away from the shooting.

The next day GPS took us to the Terrace Avenue exit, less than a mile from the shooting. Glad we didn't go by Terrace Avenue that Friday night!

Scary. I wish GPS would know to avoid the more dangerous parts of town. Even in my tiny MS town, GPS takes you through the worst parts.

Game was fun, BTW. LSU fans were all nice to us.

I mean 2.5 miles means a lot as far and neighborhoods in BR goes.

You had way more to worry about on Alaska Street than government.
