Yes, but if we look like we did against FSU & drop this game to Miss St…. We could be looking at a 6 or 7 win season. Huge swing game.

Could be??

I hate to break it to you but if we lose this game we likely are likely a 5 win team at best and aren’t going bowling.

This game and Auburn are absolutely must wins to get to 6 or 7.

Far too many people are overlooking the sheer numbers we are missing to go up against SEC competition. We are a program patched together with freshmen and transfers by a completely new coaching staff right now.

With this year’s experience and if Kelly is able to fight off attrition to give us some continuity, we should be back in competition with another recruiting class next year, but we are absolutely a bottom tier roster right now based on numbers and time in the program.

Unfortunately Leach and MSU has that continuity we are lacking right now, and has dialed up 1000 passing yards and 8 TDs passing in his two games against us. I don’t see why that will be much different this year, especially without Maason.

Which means we’ll have to keep up in a shootout, and with our work in progress OL going against their veteran front seven once again Daniels will have to carry this team on his back the way he did against FSU to have a chance.

Luckily the game is at home but I just don’t think the odds are much better than a coin flip that we are able to get the win here.
