To be fair they all came over here. There are 32 million people in the US of Irish descent and only 7 million Irish back in Ireland.

And many of them are southerners that are scots Irish but claim to be Irish

Not much of a choice when the food you are allowed to eat (the potato) has a fungus, and all other food is exported

Plus 32 million people - why doesn’t the USA have St. Patrick’s Day off??
