NOLA: 6 cars wrecked, 2 hospitalized after police chase from Harvey to New Orleans
They almost made it to safety until JPSO launched their capture program.
A police chase from Harvey to New Orleans ended in six wrecked vehicles and two people sent to the hospital, authorities said Monday.
The driver police were chasing—a woman—is being treated at University Medical Center for minor injuries, according to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto, who held a joint press conference with New Orleans police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson after the law enforcement agencies collaborated to apprehend the suspect.
A JPSO deputy was also treated for injuries related to the crashes, which involved three police vehicles and three civilian vehicles.
The woman drew a weapon and threw it out the window during the chase, Lopinto said, which was later recovered by deputies.
The chase lasted 15 to 20 minutes, Lopinto said. It wasn't immediately clear if the car they were chasing, which also wrecked, was included in the total.

New Orleans trash needs to stop crossing the parish line. The surrounding parishes actually pursue and arrest criminals.

She had to cross one of the largest rivers in the world during the chase. That would be the place to throw away a gun you don’t want recovered.
