Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse… Saturday was a horrendous failure.

Getting to the stadium took hours… There were people parked in reserved parking spaces that did not have a pass for the reserved space… Leaving took another few hours… There were several folks that did not get home until 1 or 2 AM.

There needs to be an emergency all hands on deck meeting with LSU and law-enforcement to make certain it never goes this bad again.

I'm convinced the cops and the contraflow all just make it worse.

The feces show is usually south of campus. Maybe more people should park where they can head north after a game?

People bitch about the University trying to restrict the number of people on campus, then they bitch about the inevitable result of not restricting the number of people on campus.

Yes, the University still doesn't know WTF its doing WRT to traffic and parking, even after all these years. Yes, BRPD is either in over it's head or deliberately staging a work slowdown . But as long as LSU gameday is allowed to be a free fall festival for all of SELA, this is going to happen.

Want to fix traffic and parking? Require a game ticket or student/staff/faculty ID for occupants of all cars entering campus. Problem solved.

That was as bad as I've seen it even for the big SEC games. I'm hoping it was just an anomaly because everyong was driving cars from nearby.

I posted this in other threads, but I'm still shocked that they had all of the people in the levee lot being blocked in by an empty cop car for over an hour.

Finally, some guy wised up and threw the barricade next to the cop car into a ditch and opened the gate for us. Some drunk broad with no shoes was directing traffic.

When the cop finally showed up, and tried to close the gate, he had a near riot on his hands, and finally gave up.

I got to campus in 12 minutes from College/I10 at 7:15ish, got back after the game in 24 minutes around 10:30. Getting out from the Cow Palace was a breeze and I parked for free right next to where we set up.

what is the ideal area to park for someone going to new orleans after a game? i've only been to a few games where i've had to drive out of town afterwords and it's terrible.

Get your off your arse and bike to the stadium from a loca parking lot or business. Expecting to park next to the stadium with 100k other people is just not realistic

On way to LSU, there was a cop at Stanford and W Lakeshore with a barracade not allowing anyone to turn right on w lakeshore without a parking pass. I have not seen that ever in 20 years of being a season ticket holder.
As a result, traffic was bumper to bumper standstill on Stanford from W.Lakeshore all the way to the interstate, including the side streets. It was ridiculous.

Saturday was the worst I've ever seen it for a game.

Sat in our parking lot without moving for 2 hours after the game. It makes no sense at all how it could be that bad.

If LSU wants less people to go to the games they sure are doing a good job of making sure of that.

I realize musical tastes change overtime so I’m not gonna complain about the style of music that’s getting played. However what I think is an issue is there’s just not much quiet time during the game. And what I mean by that is every possible second that the football is not moving around there’s some sort of activity channeled in to fill up time. And I don’t think that’s good to always have every possible minute filled with something.

Not sure what people expect anyone to do. there aren't enough roads heading to and from the stadium to handle the amount of vehicles in the area.

Nobody has figured out that contraflow down Burbank is pointless if it all 5 lanes used are forced to merge into 2 lanes where the median begins right after Jennifer Jean. The westbound side is then completely empty as nobody is heading back that direction anyways

They need to be using all 4 lanes and force the traffic to go either turn on Lee or go all the way down to Staring.

I noticed tons of out of town police so I think it's clear the city doesn't have the manpower like previous years.

Also, a good majority of people are trying to head South after the game. Heading North toward downtown & hopping on 110 is a better option. We parked in the levee lots, stayed for the entire game, ate at Fat Boys after and made it home for 11:30.

It is time to bring someone from outside of the area in to evaluate it. LSU and local police have proven they have no clue on what they are doing.

Welcome to the world post COVID.

Everything is half as good as it used to be and twice as expensive and nobody gives a shite about anything.

Opportunity for growth in patience and virtue is the only thing not in short supply.

When LSU spent obscene amounts of $$ expanding the stadium, new construction should have also gone into the roads around campus.
This is critical to people staying the whole game.
It is just crazy. We have reserved parking but we are taking a bus from 'hotel Indigo to avoid having to drive in this mess.
