It's funny because according to some people the big bang is irrefutable yet here we are seeing evidence of their theory being debunked. Maybe the big bang was just a huge star going supernova and really had no influence of the maturity of space. Maybe space was always just there. Maybe the way we measure travel in space is not like jumping into a time machine and it's just space that's always been there. One thing for sure is this brings a lot of new questions to the table
