Barcelona
But don’t even try to see five cities in that short time.

Wew were in Spain last May and did Madrid (only for one night each time for flights), Seville, Malaga, Valencia, Mallorca (both coasts), Barcelona and Toledo. If was a 22 day trip.

I agree with the others about sticking to four cities. Even with our long trip by the end of it we were tired of packing up and moving after 2-4 mights at each location.

Since Portugal is on the radar I'm going to go against the grain and say don't do Barcelona. It was by far the most expensive city we visited in Spain. To minimize travel I would do Seville and Malaga. Seville is a great city and tends to be warmer at that time of year as does Malaga. You can day trip from Seville to Gibraltar or Ronda (I'd do Ronda) as well.

Any tapas/food recommendations in Seville. I will be there in an hour. Surprised by the wife with a bit of an unplanned detour. Mostly looking to eat and drink our way through town over the weekend.

Where are you staying? We were on the river about 1/4 mile fromt he bullring.

We had the tasting menu at Az-Zuit and it was outstanding. Total bill including a couple of glasses of wine and sangria was around 100 euro. We also had a nice dinner at Becerrita.
