How do you figure that time was valuable? We scored what should have been the game tying touchdown anyway.

Just because they scored anyway, doesn't mean the time wasn't valuable.

LSU had to get the ball off with 1 second remaining (whistle would have started the clock until FSU called timeout). Would that time have been valuable then. What if he fields it and LSU goes down and scores the tying field goal and then is able to get the ball back with a chance to win in regulation.

Sure, you can say that FSU didn't score after either muff and LSU ultimately scored anyway so it doesn't matter. But that's an overly simplistic view of things.

The first muff cost LSU a possession. The second would have ended the game if FSU didn't royally screw up. Talk about a play call that's getting a total free pass just because they ended up winning.

LSU and Kelly are the ones getting ridiculed because the tying extra point was blocked. But from an FSU perspective LSU should have NEVER touched the ball again with a chance to tie the game. LSU GAVE FSU the win with the dropped punt...only to have FSU unnecessarily give LSU an opportunity to tie/win the game. Had LSU made the extra point and ultimately won in OT Norvell would be (rightfully) getting roasted for that decision. Even just kneeling and taking the equivalent of an extra-point there makes it a 10 point game. LSU would have gotten the ball back, but with one timeout and roughly 1:00 to get two scores.

If I am a FSU fan I'm happy we won...but still not particularly confident going forward. That final decision was awful, and in a game where you largely outcoached and outplayed LSU you still needed a blocked XP to win.
