Thanks for your insight. I'd agree I definitely needed a fitting. And from what I have learned, it wasn't the distance I was chasing, but more of the forgiveness...as it is what I needed. I'm definitely not a "player" in regards to swing speed and height. I'm practically a midget with alligator arms, and was playing too long of "player" irons. Now I know! New irons got my back spin and launch angle into the green, as opposed to 7000+ Spin and 24 deg launch angle.
Nonetheless, I really liked the feel of the stealths, and am hopeful I can shave some strokes.
As it relates to the driver, it's my best club in the bag as of now and even the "good" shots I was hitting with the new clubs, I wasn't gaining much in relation to spraying the ball all
Over the place. Probably some fatigue and definitely blisters preventing a good grip. Golftec could have easily sold me a driver, but they didn't try. He said let's do it another time...I was appreciative of their help and honesty. Same with wedges. Mine still had good groves and I like the way the sm5 vokeys I have feel and play. Those will be done next with the driver to see if there is any better options. I got the 4-aw in the stealths.
As for golftec, I'm not a member of a CC, and I don't have access to much else, especially for the $99 special I got as a gift.

quote:Most Ams should be spinning a 7i around 6500 and launching around 16-18°. Most won’t have the speed or compression to spin it more and launch it lower like the pros. But an Am still needs the numbers to keep a 7i on the green and not launch off so a higher flight is typically helpful. Shape is also important as you would have naturally less spin and lower flight with a draw.

Just for comparison sake:
Pretty amazing how consistent the height is from club to club.
