This is Golftec and the guy is saying an iron head doesn’t “fit” his swing. No mention of loft/lie or shaft which play a much larger role in a swing fitting than the head which is mostly for forgiveness, feel, and looks. He also said this guy couldn’t find anything to beat RBZ woods. I also find that suspect. Golftec has been known to be a BS shop. Prey on the naive by putting them in stronger lofts and claim it’s a better fit. By showing distance comparisons when the difference is a 34° 7i and a 28° 7i.

If he’s happy, more power to him. But it’s likely he could have gotten much more for the money elsewhere.

ETA: Golftec employees are also OEM staffers and try to push specific products regardless of fit. Good chance this guy was a TM staffer.

Thanks for your expert knowledge. Just about everything you said was similar to what he said. Shaft in ap2s was too heavy, loft and lie were incorrect, clubs were 1/2 " long and I had way too much spin on the ap2s. I bought them off of eBay used. Played them for 6 years, always seemed to be shorter than my golf partners.

I hit 6 different irons, including pings, TM, Calloways, and mizunos. It went down to mizunos and stealths. I felt the stealths had the most forgiveness, and he said it was a clear winner of the batch I was hitting. Better launch, better spin (less) , and subjectively, more distance. I was happy to buy them. And it's my money, not yours. I'll sell the ap2s and get some of my money back.

I'm no pro, and my thumbs were torn up by the time I got to the driver fitting. Don't care if you call me a wuss. I was also worn out. I'll do another fitting in a month or so and see if I can get any more distance on my woods with different options. Looking forward to a 7 wood or 5 wood.

I felt the difference in feel, consistency and forgiveness was worth buying the new irons. Bday present to myself.

So many factors from dynamic loft, sole, center of gravity, shafts etc...

I hit everything club high, always have, doesn't matter if it's a blade or super game improvement.

Golf is a game of skill and confidence. What looks good can equal confidence in pulling off the shot.

I never been a fan of GolfTec or Club Champion as a whole, but sometimes you happen to get a good fitter with integrity.

I don't disagree with anything you said, only pointing out that the lift argument is retarded. I don't know what's so hard about understanding that technology has come such a long way that we can play less loft and still launch and spin the ball. That's a good thing
