Yes, that is the PURPOSE of a filter/taint team.

At least three of us told y’all last week that the filter team would have finished its review of the documents by today. They probably finished a week ago.

I continue to believe that Judge Cannon will still appoint a special master to “check the work” of the filter team in identifying all of the privileged material.

No, they legally took possession of documents pursuant to a validly-issued warrant, and they had a filter team review those documents to assure that the investigative team would NOT have access to privileged information, per SOP.

this is only accurate if the DOJ/FBI merits trust

after what happened with Crossfire Hurricane, they don't (and if you believe they do, you are a fool)

Aren’t warrants supposed to be very specific in what the feds are able to take from the location? I would imagine this will be a legal sticking point to further drag out this crap.

You'd be okay with an opposing attorney having an internal 'filter team' review your clients privileged documents?

Perdón, but why should one not be just a little skeptical that this "filter team", the FBI/DOJ and some magistrate or judge would not be high-fiving after hours at the local watering hole?

So you think it is fine for attorney/client documents to be seized and reviewed by the government based upon a warrant with broad limits on areas that can be searched?

Just like that FISA warrant was validly issued? You take their word for far more than it is worth.

You can't truly think this is appropriate? I might as well give up my criminal defense practice and switch to Estate Planning if the Government can just seize and review all of my work product as part of SOP and determine later what THEY think is privileged. The 4th and 6th Amendments don't exist anymore.

Think like a lawyer and not a partisan.

You are such a terrible lawyer

No way in hell does a warrant allow them to remove privileged information, so they can review it. Especially if it also falls under attorney/client privilege

You dont get a warrant, only to go on a fishing expedition

Aren't you the self proclaimed libertarian? I think we all know you are paid to be here muddying up things. The question is by whom?
