My doctor dumbed it down form me and told me I had runner's knee
But, that is exactly what it sounds like. Rest will relieve the pain, but increased activity will bring in back until it's properly managed (therapy, proper stretching, learn limits). Go check out your ortho, get some P/T, and you should be good to go (set backs will happen)
