re: South LA rain totals for the month of August?

I've given up this year on poisoning the weeds. Just weedeat like a maniac when you get the chance. I'm trying to encourage St Augustine to infiltrate around my house where Ground Cover (jasmine) used to be, so a year off might do it some good.
