I think it’s what you make of it. You can’t recruit from different areas, so your talent pool will be smaller. However, in Ruston, our DYB teams have done quite well the last few years in post season.
All those kids play travel and really seem to enjoy the state tournament and World Series tournaments.
No doubt, there are some weak LL/DYB leagues, but there are many full of kids playing travel ball and improving from doing so
