Not picking a place to live by gas station chicken! 
Never said there wasn’t decent food, but they have lost control of the infrastructure and the commute to most BR areas is a nightmare.

I can't imagine what it's like now. It was taking me an hour to get home to John Broussard Rd. from OLOL 16 years ago.

We live in Belle Savanne in Dutchtown. Best decision we ever made after living in BR for 30 years was moving out here.
Right off the interstate. Less than 10 minutes to Highland Rd. And under 10 to Tanger exit.

That actually is faster now that they expanded 10 to 3 Lanes out to 73 and 42 is done.
But it was absolutely terrible back then.
