There are diminishing returns to HP if the vehicle is not completely designed and fabricated for that kind of speed. The high-end Ferraris, Lambos, etc are designed for that. A 600+ HP Camaro/Mustang is a coffin.
The Telsa may have 1000 HP, but check the weight. Those batteries are heavy.

I dont believe this. I work in industry a 1000 HP electric motor is as big as the car and very heavy...
