BK’s name wasn’t being thrown around early on & was always close to the vest due to his tenure & rep at ND.

BK is a top 5 coach, NO ARGUMENT on that, his only knack is winning the big games.

But at ND, his talent disparity in the big games was not in his favor (ie. Playing Bama & the likes in playoff & championship games etc).

At ND, it’s impossible to stack a roster like he can at LSU or any top tier SEC program for that matter.

He was mostly outmatched and unable to run the type of schemes that he will be able to run here @ LSU.

Now, he will have to overcome his Achilles heal of winning big games.

He has assembled a Stellar Coaching Staff, he has brought a very Professional mindset to the locker room and the overall program & the players seem to be buying in.

Although, I’m a former high school defensive coach for one of the top La. Schools/programs in the state, so I’m always following LSU’s defensive schemes and coaching philosophies very closely (& I’m very happy with the Defensive coaching staff from what I’m seeing & hearing)

BUT I AM MOST EXCITED to finally see an offense that utilizes TE’s & RB’s in the passing game, and to finally have some consistent QB Development.

Outside of our 2019 Team aka “THE Best Team in College Football History” with Joe Burrow & John Brady/Off Coordinator, we have had dismal offensive schemes and QB coaching, especially throughout Les Miles tenure, we won with Defense for so many years, but I think we will start seeing more offensive consistency with BK.

I’m a big proponent of TE’s in the game-plan consistently, from a defensive coaching standpoint, we used to hate preparing for teams that utilize TE’s, it is a DC’s nightmare. and BK is known for TE play in his offense, but that may take another season to fully develop to max potential.

I’m happy to see this new coaching staff & I think it should be a good game, but I will say this, our DEFENSE should be lights out this year!

Our DL is top 1-2-3 in the country, LB’ers will be solid & we have some very good proven DB transfers to give us some depth.

It will come down to QB & O-Line play, if those guys stay healthy and we have a QB emerge, it could be a LONNNG day for the Vols, just saying.

And even if we aren’t stellar in that category, our Defense should make every game a battle!
