If that ends up being the price point for both of those guys I feel very good about both getting to campus.

NIL can help but I feel when it comes into that territory of price point and draft it is more the player mindframe of having a price point they have themselves valued at and also how much they actually want to go to school.

102. RHP Grant Taylor - $660,000

honestly....could come back if that is his slow

The struggle for Taylor is will he be healthy enough to factor into next year at all and thats the gamble he'd be taking. Coleman this year simply didnt have it after his surgery and I'm sure Taylor doesnt want to have the same thing happen to him. On the flip side, if he wasnt healthy enough to give it a full go next season he could redshirt and maintain his leverage after a 2025 season, but that would mean being here for another 2 years when he could potentially take 2/3's of a mil now.

Will be a tough decision for him

Jake Brown's dad said he would be at LSU unless he got first round money. I sat next to him and Jake for the first Wake Forest game in Omaha

I posted this a few times already but Taylor told Jay he was coming back. Keep in mind that was right after the injury and his emotions were probably high. He has had a lot of time to rationalize since then. So he could change his mind.

On Cameron Johnson, if he goes first round I believe he is gone. If he drops out of the first round we have a chance. It feels like one of those teasers that fall through on the Last day.

This is what I know about Cameron and it's mostly from posters. Dad is pro LSU. He was dealing with some injuries and is pitching now and draft stock is climbing. I don't know if any of that is true but it's been posted. I do know Jay is selling him on being the number one pick in the draft if he comes to campus. It's a long shot but there's a chance.

Yep, but that won't stop me from getting my hopes up.

Are we expecting grant Taylor to leave?

I hope not, but I can see a team taking him somewhere in the 2nd round or early 3rd and him getting $1M+. If that happens I really think that would be the smart move for him unfortunately.

I feel like it’s highly unlikely that a team will spend a premium pick on a sophomore coming off of a serious arm injury that will cost him a year plus. It wouldn’t make since for the team and it wouldn’t make sense for Grant Taylor either.
He was in line to be a weekend starter this year before injury. He’s DEFINITELY in line to be one in 2024 if he heals up. I agree that he should get his bag if he hears his name early but I don’t see that happening (which is fine for him because if he comes back and is solid he will help his stock astronomically).

Zeihl was their Friday guy. It looks like Ligon served mostly as Saturday guy, though they moved him around a bit. It looks like they pitched backwards against Wake and Lowder and so he started Friday against Wake. Needless to say, he didn't fare very well against them. Towards the end of the season he didn't start much.

Can be the opposite though. A team saw what he was able to do pre injury in the Cape and LSU scrimmages and now they have a guy who already blew out the elbow and is on the road to recovery. They finish his rehab and have him back sometime next season.

I think his situation will be very interesting. I'm not arguing with you as your points are valid. Just showing what a few teams could be thinking as devil's advocate.

Ligon had arm trouble a few times this season. He's easily one of the higher upside arms on that Miami staff, although not a very accomplished staff, when healthy.

Per Miss State insider board, Braden Montgomery has not made up mind on if he will enter portal, but that if he does the process will probably be a short one (enters and announces destination). 2 major contributing factors are location close to home and a lineup to protect him. A&M, LSU and State mentioned as possible destinations.
