re: What’s the first major news story you remember as a child?

The Griner arrest for marijuana is fair and I have to applaud her for owning up to her mistake, but in my opinion 9-1/2 years is a little extreme. Hopefully she can appeal the sentencing, but I am not sure how the Russian judicial system works.
