I’ve always thought that Madison, Hattiesburg, Olive Branch and Ocean Springs are the most desirable places to live in MS.

Hattiesburg

Just moved to West Hattiesburg from Grapevine, TX. Beautiful area. No way do I get this view in DFW. Love the terrain around here. Far enough from the coast not to get completely destroyed by a hurricane either. Have an acre lot and a nice home for a third of what it would cost in DFW.

Didn't think Hattiesburg was as nice as the others.

Hattiesburg and Olive Branch are...unique choices to put here. Hernando is nicer than Olive Branch and much better schools and a safer community. Oxford is unequivocally the nicest college town in MS - even though I have to put up with pretentious UM fans. Their women are definitely better and easier.

I’d pick Hernando over Olive Branch. Just based on it being a small town with little traffic…. But close to everything.

Tupelo is just as good as any of those. The amazing thing though… the county schools in Lee county are better than Tupelo. Not to say Tupelo is bad, the county is just better.

Petal is a good up and coming area too. MS has more going for it than LA these days, and a ton of LA expats living there.
