I keep a G17 with a Streamlight tlr1-HL in the bedside table, and a SBR in case I have to leave my house and go in the yard.

A suppressor is probably the most useful accessory for a home defense pistol.

I always had my home defense guns suppressed, but recently decided to go without. I watched a video and it really makes sense why you really want to be loud. I can see the argument for and against so it's probably just preference.

I don’t fancy the idea of shooting indoors without ear protection if it’s not necessary. I’d use the suppressor if available. I guess a 9mm indoors wouldn’t be too terrible but for people who use a 357 or AR for home defense, yikes.

I don't have any attachments on my pistol, but ive always thought suppressed would be best. I have hearing loss and you don't get it back. I wouldnt want to lose more. I could see one of those lights that flashes being a solid addition
