There will be a whole new party created by the 2024 election.
At the 2022 mid term, a lot of the new people elected are going to go to D.C. with an America First agenda. These new politicians are going to be met with great force by the existing Rhino's like McConnell, Cassidy, Graham! These existing Rhino's are going to tell the new kids on the block- "if you don't align with us you will not be put on any good committee's, so you better fall in line with us" These new kids are going to rise up and say "no this is America First policies". I think they then report to the Glorious Orange Bastard and say, "it is time to break and start out own third party. So, I believe that you will see three Parties.
1. Democrat
2. Republican party (The existing one)
3. The American Party (Trump led and America first Agenda)

Maybe. Maybe not.
I left the GOP on 1/7/21 and the GOP hasn't done a damn thing to earn my vote since.
If I don't like the GOP's candidate, I will vote 3rd party or abstain. I can't stand the Republican Party and will only vote for candidates, not a party.

Yeah, that’s not true. I re-registered from Rep to NPA (No Party Affiliation) because I don’t want to get endless spam from the GOP and I don’t support the Turtles and Rubios of the world. Will I vote for Trump or DeSantis? Absolutely.

Not if anyone to the right of Joe Manchin wants to ever win another election.

The above would result in a Democrat victory for POTUS, regardless of who they nominate, as well as Democratic super majorities in both chambers of Congress. This result would continue to occur in every election until the GOP (existing) and your new American Party merged, either officially or in practice.
There will never be three viable parties in existence at the same time unless the Constitution is amended to change our electoral system. Two will compete for the same portion of votes, while the third profits from the vote-splitting until one of the two competing parties cannibalizes the other.
This has already happened several times in our history.

I'm not voting for any Establishment GOP candidate for POTUS.

How many people are to the right of Manchin in the Democratic Party? NONE now! Maybe 1 or 2

It sure would because Dems vote for dems no matter what! See Baton Rouge elections.

Get ready you are about to see it! And as you mentioned It will Kill the Republican Party! I agree that if a third party is created it will destroy America because the Far Left Dems will slaughter us at every turn. I am just pointing out HOW BAD these Rhino's are and what they are about to possibly create,,, A DISASTER.
They better be working on a plan to make Trump Happy if DeSantis is the republican Nominee!

Yes, and then it will become the Republican Party in everything but name, as the current GOP will just shift to your new party. They won’t become Democrats.
Our election setup just doesn’t allow anything other than a left/center left party and a right/center right party. We don’t have a system that contemplates or supports coalition governments. In their naive attempt to create government without parties, the founders painted us into a right/left big-tent dichotomy.
In short, Trump running third party would destroy his America First credentials

Most likely for the simple fact that the nominee’s views will still align more closely with mine than the Democratic nominee’s.
That’s how I look at the Presidential race, anyway. Might not always do the same for other races.

So, how will the Republican's handle this possible scenario
DeSantis Wins Republican Nomination. Trump is going to go ape shite (See Jan 6th) and then who will or where will the "Trump-nation" vote for? Or will they stay home and not vote?
If they "Trump-nation" Stays home or refuses to vote, will there be enough Democrats shift their vote to support DeSantis.
I really do feel that is what we are about to see

He’s not going to run against trump, and he has said that publicly. Why does anyone entertain this scenario where DeSantis beats Trump in the primary?

No One Thought Joe Biden would get 18 Million more Votes than Obama either, But he did!

Are you sure? Its all about the what the Establishment Wants.
If DeSantis is smart! He would run as Trump's VP and Possibly be President After Trump! It would be glorious!

I think there are people who are ride or die Trump supporters who think Desantis is a GOP-E wolf in sheep’s clothing and wouldn’t vote for Desantis in the end. I also think if the two primary against one another they can do a lot of damage to each other and could potentially cause supporters on the primary-losing side to stay home. I don’t think the voters in question would switch to voting dem but I do think they’d stay home and avoid voting under certain circumstances, which could affect the results of the general election.
Someone who likes Trump or DeSantis not being able to vote for the other makes absolutely zero sense. They’re basically the same thing

That is not true. Only fools didn’t know that both candidates vote totals would be higher than any prior election, regardless of who won. That was set in stone the minute the covid mail in voting rules rolled out.

DeSantis has nothing to gain by being VP. He’s better off as governor of Florida.

Yes
Trump 2024
DeSantis 2028, 2032
Trump 2024
DeSantis 2028, 2032

It depends entirely on who the nominee is. If it's someone like Desantis or Trump, I will vote for the GOP nominee. If it's someone like Romney or Kasich, I will likely vote third party, assuming there is a third party candidate that I like better. There is no prominent national level democrat that I can see myself voting for at this time, not even Bernie after how he sold out.
Posted on 7/18/22 at 2:56 pm to When in Rome
I'd be comfortable voting for DeSantis. If it's trump, I'll be voting libertarian again.
Posted on 7/18/22 at 2:57 pm to When in Rome
The only three I would vote for are Trump, DeSantis, or Paul. I will not vote for someone like Romney.
Posted on 7/18/22 at 2:59 pm to When in Rome
Only if it is Trump or DeSantis.

Yes. It's extremely important the GOP takes back the presidency.
