re: Kids of the 70's and 80's..Did your dad whip you with a belt back in the day...?

I was just talking to someone the other day about how common it was to see some kid getting his arse spanked at the grocery store. I would say an average of 3 per trip. It served as a reminder to not get out of line and was also kind of amusing to observe when you knew a kid was about to cross that line and meet the business end of a belt. My mom used a flyswatter handle.
