Have you not watched any archeological movie? Never be the first to open anything. That’s where the boobytraps are. You send in an underling to do that nonsense.

NO SOP bro. I worked at Dow Chemical, Shell Geismar, and Marathon Garyville, for a contractor and loaded everything from rail, trucks, to marine docks. All of them had SOP'S no matter what. Dow had a 4 pager on how to wrap Teflon on loading L pipes.

Why do y'all assume everyone on here is not an underling?

I assume everyone on here is at least under mid-management, if not the lowest man on the totem pole.

He did reference having a boss tell him stuff so he may be the underling that was subject to booby traps

If so, excellent management and the OP should take this as a learning experience and motivation to be the boss
