No one in the history of college football, save for the 2010-2011 LSU and Bama teams, have the talent in the defensive backfield to cover all of LSU's offensive weapons. Jefferson and Chase have torched the best defensive backs in the NFL on a weekly basis for 2 years. No one has slowed them down. I mean a guy who is considered a top 5 CB in the NFL today had to literally be moved to LSU's 3rd WR in the national title because he was being abused so badly. The guy who led the NFL in interceptions this past year was burned for 140 yards.

The best safety of all time wouldn't slow down the passing attack LSU had that year. Especialliy a team from 2001, whose linebacker room is constructed to be hard-nosed and stop the run. Johnathon Vilma would be neutralized by LSU's offensive play style. They'd attack the middle all day long until Ed Reed adjusted and covered the middle, then they'd free up Chase and Marshall down the side line.
