Why is the course condition so terribly bad? Surely they can make the condition at least close to Webb. At this point LSU should be embarrassed to have their name tied to that course.

It’s terrible…range will also only give you one small bucket at a time. It’s truly a pathetic excuse for a golf course.

I am of the opinion they are letting it go to shite so revenue will drop off and they can one day have a meeting where they deem a better use of the land will be for __________________.

It just blows my mind because the course layout is fun to me. I’m not asking for a Santa Maria condition, the effort they put in now is damn near non existent.

Worst course in the history of Earth.

Not an exaggeration.

Close it down. Only course you’ll pay $8 including a cart and want your money back after playing a few holes.

List any use for the land and it would be a better use than a golf course.

It’s not that bad especially considering how easy and cheap it is to pay.

I've played it a couple times recently and while it's not in great shape, it's a good value if you can hit it in the fairway. It's never going to come back to its previous glory but I'll go play a cheap round and know what I'm getting myself into.

When COVID hit the university shut them down to only 2 employees to maintain the property for 8 months. Neither of which were licensed applicators. They couldn't spray or fertilize anything for 8 months. That is a death wish for a golf course.

The only revenue they get is from tee times and range balls. They receive zero funding from the university.

It's just a bad situation all around. I doubt it ever comes back to decent shape. They host one tournament all year (Freds tourney) and they couldn't even cut the grass before. No one with any skin in the game (including the grouchy old dick who runs the place) has the desire or give a frick to improve the course.

Like others said, its not bad if you know what you're getting into. It's a cheap round. It's the only place in BR you don't have to fight for a tee time. Hit it in the fairway, give yourself a 2 putt, and finish 18 holes in 2.5 hours.

Not sure why they don’t get an ag class to maintain it for a grade.

When the course had five or so holes on the front nine east of Nicholson with an abandoned length of railroad track across it in the 1970’s, it cost 50 cents (1/2 of one American dollar and your LSU student ID)) to play 18 holes.

Man I played it two weeks ago and was blown away at how bad it was. It had been a couple years since I’ve been there but I remember the grass at least being cut
