They taped the papers with swastika and skull to the doors of a black church and a synagogue in an area not dar from Buffalo where people were shot based upon race not too long ago. That is not free speech. That can easily be viewed as threatening.

Talk about a slippery slope.

I “view” that as threatening...off to prison you go.

Was it in poor taste...yes.

Are they shitbags for doing so...absolutely.

Are they “criminals” because you get to determine what offends you...no.

frick them for being assholes, but “view this as threatening” as the basis for a hate crime opens the criminal justice system up to levying capricious and arbitrary imprisonments.

Next time, someone may be “offended” by you.

Just saying.
