It would be nice to be able to purchase a real washing machine outside of a laundromat instead of these 12 month warranty playskool tubs they sell us

You need to buy a speed queen commercial residential or a maytag commercial residential. I was in the same boat, my samsung $1,000 set broke after 3 years. I said screw it and dropped $2,000 on a commercial speed queen set and never looked back. The speed queen washer is essential. Dryers are relatively easy to fix, washers are not.
