That's what I see. Am I crazy?

BI in the playoffs last year proved he can get his shot against anyone. I view his playoff performance as better than anything Zion has shown so far.

Is there a question heading into next season as to who is the Alpha?

BI is the alpha until Zion proves differently.

Why are some people so obsessed with "alphas?"

This is B.I.‘s team. The FO knows it. He knows it. At this point I’m sure Zion knows it. Z will have to put time on the court and stack scalps on the wall before the pendulum swings his way.

As of now:
Batman-B.I.
Robin-Zion
Ra’s al Ghul (mentor)-CJ

Dude BI great but Zion literally was unstoppable last year with a awful HC who did a terrible job getting the team ready to play night in and night out.

BI has the more complete game and is more of a leader.

Zion still has more of a ceiling. BI’s jumper is occasionally off and that definitely can impact the type of game he is having. Zion’s jumper is arguably always off and he’s still going to get 25 points on 50% plus shooting.

But we should probably stop Debate Style Vsing/Pitting our Players against each other.

Both will shine, usually in the same game. One night, BI might get the last look, the next, Zion might.

BI, CJ, and Zion are all going to lead this team in different ways this season.

BI is the one who leads by example. He's the last one in the gym, he's the one who holds the team together, he's the big brother to Jose, etc.

CJ is the wise counsellor. He's the one who will have the right words to say in the locker room after a tough loss, the guy who's an extra coach on the floor.

Zion is our best player. He's the one we are going to feed in crunch time, because he's unstoppable (and I expect him to be much better this season).

BI will be even better with Zion on the court. Even if he doesn't score as much I bet he will be a more efficient scorer. We don't even know how good Zion could be. I think he could be a Shaq level player, and that's pretty damn hard to top.

Yes

If you're using health as the main driver, then yes BI has been better because he has been more available.

But when both are on the court and playing, there's really no debate, Zion is decidedly better.

The whole alpha concept is silly, but again, assuming full health, there is no question who the best basketball player on the team is, it's Zion.
