Shoal Creek has hosted two PGA Championships. Probably blackballed and never will again though.

It will take a while but I bet they might get another PGA at some point. Put in a lot of work with hosting amateur events and the HBCU tourney.

With only the rest of today and tomorrow left, this can pretty much be considered a success. A lot of international visitors at these events as well. The Olympic President was in town. The Los Angeles Olympic Committee was in town. A lot of movers and shakers visited Birmingham. Birmingham proved it can host major international events. I only see good things for Birmingham in the near and far future. Residents of Birmingham should be proud of themselves. There's not been a major international event like this in the U.S. since the 1996 Olympics, and Birmingham was even a part of that.

Closing Cermonies were well organized with technology, performances, and fireworks. Birmingham left a great impression on the international visitors. The future is looking bright.

I watched it online. I thought it sucked. The song about Alabama was corny. I'm tired of seeing American Idol winners as our main celebrities. Lionel Richie sounded like shite.

A success at running up unpaid and unfunded debt! World Games $14 million shortfall

And the venue has already turned into a site for peace and harmony! Teen Fights Erupts at Birmingham’s City Walk
Just think what $65 million in extra funding for education, economic development, or policing might have done!
