You will get a ticket for averaging 65 in a 60 but the head of the freaking State Troopers that patrol this bridge can do 90 in their personal cars and face no consequences. Frick all of the lawmakers and cops.

Every person in this state that uses this bridge should work for the state police in some capacity even if it is part time.

Janitor, administration, or put 25 cents in a bubble gum machine to get the state police commander position, if you feel that you are above the law.

Problem solved no one will get a ticket.

I set my cruise at 60 and crossed it in 17:47. So you will get a ticket for going 60 in a 60.

“REVENUE EXPLANATION
Proposed law may result in an indeterminable increase in revenue from the newly created Atchafalaya Basin Bridge Safety Fund within DOTD and an increase in Local Funds revenue within Iberville and St. Martin parishes as a result of potential traffic fines…. The fine for a 1st offense would increase from $175 to $350 and subsequent offenses would increase from $500 to $1,000. The number of drivers that will be fined is unknown and the revenue impact from the fine is indeterminable.

Indeterminable amount of revenue? Wow, what a case to be made to spend OUR $6M in taxpayer dollars setting this up, plus $1-$3M per year to operate.
