Here me out guys. All the Power 5 teams join one conference. These teams are split into 5 Leagues based on geography and history. About two-thirds of games will be played against teams within your league. Teams from different leagues can agree to play eachother. The Leagues can act independently for things like conference championship games

League 1
Alabama
Auburn
Arkansas
LSU
Florida
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Mississippi State
Georgia
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
South Carolina

League 2
Clemson
Miami
Florida State
Louisville
Boston College
Maryland
Duke
UNC
NC State
Virginia
Virginia Tech
Pitt

League 3

Texas
Texas A&M
Missouri
Nebraska
Colorado
Kansas
Kansas State
Texas Tech
Baylor
TCU
Iowa State
Houston

League 4
Ohio State
Michigan
Michigan State
Wisconsin
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Purdue
Penn State
Northwestern
Notre Dame

League 5
Southern Cal
UCLA
Cal
Stanford
Arizona State
Arizona
Utah
Oregon
Oregon State
Washington
Washington State

I know this is a new and crazy idea but it looks perfect to me

So keep the SEC, ACC, Big Ten, Big Eight/Big XII/SWC, and Pac 10?
