1. No, he was not. He hit his ceiling and regressed.
2. How bad was Pootz? Watching the Boutte plays, why in the hell was he having Max roll out to the right? He did know max was a lefty, right? It seems as if the coaches did not know how to adjust for this and just called random plays.
In addition to #2 affecting Max real bad, it also showed that they couldn't adjust for any specific players, hence the long developing plays with a shite OL. Man, I am glad that whole staff was canned.
