re: Sugar Kettle Water Feature

We have a 6’ on that is shaded for part of the day and the goldfish have been doing well for years. We have a small pond pump that filters and aerates the water. There is a small hole that we drilled on the top side for overflow to keep from losing any fish during a hard rain. We added a lotus and pickerel weed. Both plants are potted in heavy clay soil and have rocks on top of the soil. The pickerel weed need thinning out every year because it will take over the entire pot.
