re: Perdido Key bank & surf fishing

I’ve successfully caught fish in the surf the last 2 years after never being able to do so prior. I watched a bunch of beach bum videos on YouTube. I keep it simple. I stop at lost bay in orange beach. Pick up some premade pomp rigs. 3-4 oz pyramid weights. Use live sand fleas or fish bites bait. It’s prepackaged. Look it up. Stuff works. Cast in between the sand bars. I like to throw one between first and second and then one past the second. Whichever hits is the area I start casting too. I wade out to cast. I have a 9’ and a 12’ surf rod with 5000 and 6000 size reels.
