If you had a battery trimmer already, and it did absolutely everything you need it to do with very little maintenance, why would you even consider switching to a different technology that doesn't do anything more for you other than add a lot more labor?

My Echo has required zero maintenance over the last 4 years and is a way more efficient trimmer than my 40v electric one.

At my old house that wasn't a big deal, but my yard is 3 times as big, so that efficiency is worth dealing with gas.

I tend to lump all of the gas-related operations and maintenance together. From buying gas to handling/storing the can, priming/choking/cranking, etc. Anything beyond the 5 seconds it takes me to move the battery from the charger to the trimmer and back again is wasted time IMO. Four years of that easily adds up to hours, valuable time better spent posting on TD.

Not going to argue that and don't know what you have, but I'll say that it's a rare occasion that I need to go full throttle with my Ego. It'll trim faster than I can move.
