A lot of professional lawn businesses have switched to batter powered string trimmers. They have come a long way in recent years. No fuel or engine maintenance to mess with. Batteries are smaller and lighter than engines + gas tanks. They will cut through anything gas powered ones will. When you start weighing the pros and cons it’s no contest.

The only problem is a battery costs more than a new unit when it goes bad in two years.
