He had a great freshman year, had 8 touchdowns. Overall, played well in 2011.

Dude was an awesome Tiger!! I thought he would be an all time great after his freshman year with that wicked arse curve but that didn’t happen. So glad he came here regardless. He always did what was asked of him and never quit…I sure hope he gets drafted and gets paid he’s earned it.

Guy got every ounce of effectiveness from his arsenal of pitches. He was not going to overpower you, but he would keep you off-balance. He got thrown into the Fri night starter role and never blinked.

Thanks Ma'Khail, best of luck in your future endeavors.

Hilliard did more for LSU baseball than Jaden Hill ever did

This isn’t about his overall talent. It’s about his contribution and consistency. He found ways to win, everytime he faced adversity he made his way back to the weekend. Overcame surgery, Covid years, his father passing, being moved from weekend starter multiple time only to be moved back because we needed him.

Hilliard's start against Tennessee in game 1 of the 2021 Super Regional is criminally underrated. He had LSU in a position to win the game, Mainieri took him out too early, and LSU lost of course.

On top of a great freshman season (even though the next two years were not what we’d hoped) he didn’t actually lose a game during the past three years until this year’s Ole Miss series.

For someone not expected to be a Friday night guy, him being exactly that for the past two years got LSU a lot of Ws when they struggled for effective pitching. Cannot overstate how important he became to the to teams’ success the past two years and what would have been had he not stepped up.
