I agree and we enjoy it, but how do you do it in the hottest part of the year?

There is a 0% chance I'd camp from now until late September without one of those super expensive ac units for a tent. I also rather enjoy not getting toted off by mosquitos.

Exactly. There is no camping when it's above 65 degrees. Freezing is preferred. I laugh at the stupid camping ads from the sports stores that come out in May and June. Hell no until November. You can have your sweat and maximum bugs.

Go further north or find a higher altitude. In AZ, we spent a week every August camping to escape the heat. I would just find someplace above 6,000 ft in altitude.
