anything great
Been using an original API since the mid 90s. Same damn one. If there was something better, I would buy it. There isn't. The chain system is the best way to grab a tree, and the teeth are sharper than anything else ever made.

Api chain links have been found to be unsafe in the past. The internet has metallurgist engineers reports on this chain. Go search.

Same here. I had 12 of them and would leave them on my lease for the season and take them down at the end, clean them up and store them until the next season. I'm down to about eight and have mostly transitioned to well-placed 18' ladder stands. But I still use those API's a bunch when I want to get 40' up in a pine stand or clear cut.

Really comfortable, light enough to tote for miles, stable as hell in a tree. An all day stand for me no problem.

I have 2 of the Grandslams and wouldn’t trade them for anything, I do use a ratchet strap on the seat part just for a little more bite.
